 280E Planning & Considerations

One of the most radical differences in federal tax reporting for canna-businesses revolves around IRS §280E.  Because of this section of the tax code, deductions for federal income tax purposes are much different than for non-cannabis businesses.  It is important that the impacts of this tax rule be understood early on in your business planning stage as it impacts many financial aspects of your business from profitability analysis to product costing.  I understand these restrictions and have a sound tax strategy in place to maximize allowable deductions, to generate and maintain the financial records you need to keep and to keep you confident.
